Roofing Contractor in North Ridgeville, OH
North Ridgeville has grown faster than almost any city in Northeast Ohio, and most of its homes went up in the last 50 years. That growth is catching up with its roofs. Shingles from the 1970s houses and the big 2000s subdivisions are wearing out, often several on the same street at once.
ARC Roofing & Home Improvements is a family business that has worked across the west side and Lorain County since 1985. We replace roofs, siding and gutters in North Ridgeville with our own crews, and most full roof replacements take one day.

Current Offer
Free gutter guards with any full roof replacement signed by November 30, 2026.

Built Fast, Aging Together
Close to a quarter of the homes in North Ridgeville were built between 2000 and 2009, and another big wave went up in the 1970s. Only about 3 percent of the houses here are older than 1940. Nearly nine out of ten homes are owner-occupied, so most of the calls we get are from people who plan to stay and want the next roof to last.
Builder-grade roofs at the end of their life – Many subdivision homes got the most basic shingle available when they were built. We replace them with complete Owens Corning systems.
Hot attics in newer houses – Ice dams and shingles curling early on a 20-year-old house usually trace back to attic ventilation, so we check intake and exhaust on every estimate.
1970s homes on their second or third roof – Once the old layers come off, these houses sometimes need new decking. We show you what we find and price it before the new roof goes on.

After the March 2026 Windstorm
On March 31, 2026, gusts of 70 to 80 miles per hour hit the west shore, and North Ridgeville was among the hardest-hit cities. Trees fell on houses, Lear Nagel Road was closed overnight, and the city put a debris dumpster at City Hall for residents. In August, another storm sent a tree through a North Ridgeville roof and into a bedroom. If your roof came through either storm, a free inspection is worth it even if nothing looks wrong from the driveway.

Questions We Hear in North Ridgeville
How long does a roof last on a newer North Ridgeville home?
Standard builder shingles often last somewhere around 18 to 25 years here, depending on ventilation and how much sun the roof gets. If your house was built in the early 2000s and still has its original roof, it is a good time to have it looked at.
My subdivision has rules about roof color. Can you work with them?
Yes. If your neighborhood has an HOA or deed restrictions, send us the approved colors or guidelines and we will quote shingles that meet them.
Do you handle insurance claims after a windstorm?
Yes. We inspect the roof, photograph the damage, help you file the claim and meet your adjuster at the house. On an approved claim, most homeowners pay only their deductible.
